Hello all at countess gytha! I was a pupil at the school from 1981- 1987 yes that makes me 33yrs old! I moved away from the area 13 years ago and have 4 children of my own now! Very fond memories i have of attending the school - like it was just yesterday. Mr honey was the headteacher then i think! along with mr barker,mr tony bruckell and mrs sally taylor who i adored. My father along with mr waldron used to sometimes help out with the swimming pool maintenence.I was deeply saddened by the pictures of the floods -the corridors where i once ran through - to think of the misery it brought to everyone especially the young children. but onwards and upwards im sure with support you have recovered well. i would be very interested if the school has any old photos from those years.

I was a pupil at the school from 1979 until 1985, which was when the school got its first computer.. a BBC Micro. I was in Mrs. Taylor's class at the time. Wohooo!

So deeply sorry for all of you to have the school flooded yet again, the third since we have known the school as the first flood was when our son Henry first started at the school in 1996. I remember helping out with the massive clear up after the second flood about eight years ago, so I know how hard work it is going to be for everyone involved in the next few weeks. What bad luck indeed and before Christmas... I wish you all well to get the school back to normal but it wont be easy. Best Wishes . Annabelle Crabb and the family.

I was a pupil at the school from 1957-63. I am now working as an education consultant with the Supreme Education Council in Qatar. My dad also went to the school in the late 1920's. Sadly, he died a couple of weeks ago but he had fond memories of the school. He came from a Queen Camel family and his seven brothers and sisters all went to the school.

This school is OK!!!!! THE BEST BIT IS GLOBAL CITIZENS AND LEARNING ABOUT REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE BY MRS BISHOP AND GUY. IT IS GREAT IF YOU HAVE READ THIS AND SEEN THE PHRASE I HAVE PUT IN ABOUT RECYCLING, THEN REMEMBER IT, IT IS IMPORTANT. THANK YOU FOR READING MY COMMENT.

My sister Alison, brother Tim and I were all at your school together from about 1965 to 1970. Interesting to see the building looks the same. We used to have a swimming pool, and some kind farmers brought us baskets of apples in the autumn. Good luck to you all!

Discovered your site after searching the net for information on Gytha for a book I am writing. She held the Manor of Higham Ferrers in Northamptonshire before 1066. Your site looks great. Bright, colourful and informative and looks and very easy to use
